The successful applicant will participate in the monitoring of designated cultural resource sites located on Wildlife Division lands adjacent to the Missouri River in South Dakota. This work will consist of navigating to known sites with a GPS, UTV or boat to assess the condition of cultural sites which will include compiling written and photo documentation of natural and man-made impacts to these sites. The applicant will work independently as well as the Division of Wildlife personnel but will also work closely wit the US Army Corps of Engineer and SD Archaeological Research Center archaeologists. Intern may assist with data collection and sign posting on Wildlife Division lands adjacent to the Missouri River as time and opportunity permits.
